Saturday tying
Larry, Dean and Dennis are hosting a Saturday Tying and Coffee session on Jan 17th at King's Place coffee shop in Dearing KS at 8:30 A.M. The shop has a number of breakfast items as well a coffee drinks and snacks. There are two large rooms and the shop has has said it was OK as long as we clean up after ourselves. There is a park behind the shop where we can do some casting.
Lower Ill Trout Fishing
The latest report on the Lower Illinois River is that the fishing is slow. About 4,000 Trout have been released, but it appears there are few hold over trout so the population is low. Stripper fishermen have reported seeing a larger number of dead fish on the bottom of the river. It looks like the high flow and high temperatures have taken a toll on the fish.
